INTERNSHIPS
AWOFINC offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain professional experience in a nonprofit faith-based organization. Interns leave AWOFINC with a practical appreciation for the demands and rewards of nonprofit work.
AWOFINC offers four intern sessions per year, Winter, Fall, Spring, and Summer. An internship commitment of 20 hours per week for 6–12 months is preferable; the minimum commitment required is 14 hours a week for 3 months.

The Community Resource Director manages all aspects of the community resources, community-based participatory partnerships and linkages
The Executive Director is a key management leader of the organization. The Executive Director is responsible for implementing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.
The Media Relations Director develops and implements policies and procedures for the relations between the media and the organization. Works to expand understanding of the organization's business, performance, and strategy.
The duties of the tutor include providing students with academic support during assigned hours, developing academic materials and lessons relevant to the coursework, and collaborating with the student's instructors to ensure the lesson materials are appropriate for the grade level or student's skill set.
The Program Director is responsible for researching, planning, developing, and implementing the organization’s Parent Information and Resource Center programs. Train and be a mentor to staff while leading large group discussions to answer questions and remedy complaints.
Researches, organizes, writes, and submits grant proposals according to specifications and state and federal regulations; partners with development and agency managers to identify needs; identifies prospective funders and cultivates relationships; monitors grant expenditures and performance.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and facilitates special events; schedules and maintains communication with speakers, vendors, and participants; coordinates and monitors event timelines; reviews and analyzes evaluations; assists in preparing a variety of publications, materials, and programs for events;
The mentor strives to be the student's friend, role model, motivator and personal advocate. The mentor's purpose is to build self-esteem, confidence and self-worth, supplementing the work of parents, teachers, counselors and other social and educational professionals.
The National Youth Advisory Board of AWOFINC Community Youth Councils selects up to 12 CYC members for the National CYC Youth Advisory Board (YAB). The YAB will be composed of high school students from across the nation who have demonstrated leadership skills and .service in their school and community.
